How do I apply Ribbn seller credits toward a Shopify purchase?

This article explains how to manually transfer seller credits from Ribbn to Shopify.

If you’ve issued store credits to a seller in Ribbn and they’d like to use that credit to make a purchase in your Shopify store, here’s how to handle it manually.

To apply Ribbn credits in Shopify:

  1. In Ribbn, go to the Credits tab.

  2. Locate the seller who wants to use their credits.

  3. Subtract the amount they plan to use by entering a negative value (e.g. -60) into their Ribbn credit balance.
    Example: If the seller is buying something on Shopify for €100 and they have €60 in Ribbn credits, you would deduct -60 from their Ribbn balance.

  4. Next, go to your Shopify admin and find the customer’s profile.

  5. Under Store Credits, click Add and enter the amount you just deducted in Ribbn (e.g. €60).

  6. The customer can now apply this credit at checkout in your Shopify store.

Shopify doesn’t recognize credits held in Ribbn, so it’s important to deduct the credit in Ribbn as you manually add it in Shopify.
