How to change the default Chat message response in Ribbn
When a seller logs into the app, a default message is automatically sent to welcome them and offer support. This message is pre-set, but you can customize it to better fit your business flow. Learn how to update it in just a few steps!
Follow these steps to update the default chat message response in Ribbn:

Access Chat Settings

Navigate to your Ribbn admin panel.

Go to Chats > Chat Settings > Message Templates.

Edit the Default Template

Under the EN (English) locale, find the template labeled "Default".
Even if you'd prefer to write the text in Swedish this is the template you need to use. -
Click on it and edit the text as needed and press Save.

Important: Do not change the Template Key: Default as this name is the key that links it to the automated sendout.

If you don’t already have a customer account with your store, create one to test the new message:

Go to Customers > All Customers > Create New Customer.

Use a personal email that is not linked to your Ribbn Admin account.

Log out from your Admin side in the app on your mobile device and log in with this new customer email.

This allows you to experience Ribbn from the seller’s perspective.

Under Messages, you’ll see the automatic chat message and confirm if it’s working correctly.
