How to Translate your webshop into different languages
Learn how to translate your webshop into Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian using the Translation Manager. Step-by-step guide linked to user currency selection for a seamless multilingual experience.
You can offer your webshop in multiple languages such as Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian by using different locales. The language shown to the user is automatically linked to the currency they select when visiting your website.
For example, if a visitor selects Swedish Kronor (SEK), the site will display in Swedish.
Step-by-Step: Using the Translation Manager
- Go to Settings > Translation Manager
- Click Add New Item
Important Notes on Adding Translations
- Add the keyword or sentence you'd like to translate.
-
The "Key" field is the link between the translation and the webshop element and this must exactly match the text used in your Webshop Builder elements — capitalization and spacing must be identical.
✅ Tip: For longer sentences, copy the original text from the webshop builder element into Notes first, then copy it from there into the "Key" field to avoid formatting issues. -
Always include the English version of the text under:
- EN
- EN-GB
- EN-EU
- And then put the translated version into the language you wish to translate to.
- Press Submit.
- Go to your website and change the language in the flag in the top right corner to see your changes.
-
Continue this process for each element in your webshop that requires translation.
